Hi and welcome to my website. I'm a writer of historical fiction and historical romances. My favorite time
period is medieval, but Roman history and ancient Egypt also interest me.
I have several writing projects at various stages. Bound by Blood (formerly entitled Love,
Remember Me) is a historical romance set in 11th century Normandy and England. Rule of Love is
a mainstream historical set in 5th century India, exploring the origins of the Kama Sutra's author - it's been great
fun to research and even more to write. The Burning Candle is a mainstream historical
set in the 11th century. The enigmatic Isabel de Vermandois is the heroine; she was the wife and mistress of two English
earls and is a fun character to research and write about. Renegade is a mainstream historical
set in the 16th century, about a Dutch privateer turned Barbary pirate, which I have put on hold until mid-2009,
while focusing on Rule of Love and The Burning Candle. I began
submitting Renegade, Rule of Love and The Burning Candle to critique
groups in the summer 2008.
Paradise is a mainstream historical set in 17th century Barbados, which I have put on hold
for further research until late 2009 - early 2010. Sultana -The Legacy is a historical
fiction novel, set in 13th century Moorish Spain, I completed the duology in autumn 2007.
2009 - Writing of course; what else would I possibly be doing? Selling Bound by Blood and the two Sultana manuscripts
are the main goals. Lesser aspirations are to complete Rule of Love by spring, The Burning Candle by summer and return
to Renegade to wrap that up by year's end. Might also attend the 2009 HNS conference in Schaumburg, IL.
2008 - Publishing Bound by Blood. Networking - Facebook, Bebo, MySpace. Back to the fun stuff - researching
and writing Renegade, The Burning Candle and Rule of Love. Finishing all three WIPs by December. Growing Medieval
Fiction Writers group.
2007 - Working on the final draft of Sultana II. Attending the 2007 Historical Novel Society
conference in Albany, NY. Getting Medieval Fiction Writers group up and running. Submitting Love, Remember Me.
2006 - Working on the final draft of Love, Remember Me. Working on the first draft of Sultana II, sequel to
the first historical. Submitting Sultana - The Legacy.
2005 - Finished my first historical fiction, Sultana - The Legacy. Joined the Yahoo! Historical Fiction

2002 - Completed the first draft of Love, Remember Me.
2001 - Completed the first draft of Sultana-The Legacy. Visited the Alhambra in Andalusia, Spain. See
